Met de PEX2MPEX PCI Express naar Mini PCI Express Adapter kunnen Mini PCI Express-kaarten worden gebruikt in een standaard PCI Express-slot. Deze Mini PCI-E-kaarten, die doorgaans zijn ontworpen voor gebruik in laptops of computers met ITX-vormfactor, kunnen dan normaal worden gebruikt in conventionele desktopcomputers.
